Hard to Kill Plants:

Amsonia – tolerates poor soil , drought tolerant

Agastache – licorice scented leaves, comes in many colors, butterflies and hummingbirds love this plant, this plant loves the heat

Baptisia – very hard to kill, loves heat and humidity (as here in PA), will also tolerate dry soil.

Tiarella – A shade loving perennial that needs moist soil. This is also deer resistant

Hakonechloa – Japanese forest grass – likes shade, is great in a container
